Speaker: Dr. Ronald Fijalkowski, ARCCA
Dr. Ron Fijalkowski will look at the medical intricacies of the human body from an engineering perspective. Biomechanics combines medicine and engineering by studying and calculating the forces and directions that cause specific trauma, as well as the requirements to mitigate those very same injuries. Accordingly, ARCCA’s experts assess all areas in which human trauma can occur.
ARCCA’s biomechanical engineers have considerable experience in the causes and prevention of impact and inertial injuries to the brain. Whether the injury is diffuse or focal our experts are skilled at getting to the root cause of the injury and tying it to a specific event or impact. They provide this service to attorneys, insurance companies and organizations seeking to evaluate and reduce brain injuries. Brain and spinal injuries often need to be studied together to determine the cause and scope of the injury. ARCCA biomedical engineers understand what force is required to create a brain injury and are skilled in conducting testing to determine how and why certain injuries occur.
